Job Description: As a Lead Developer you will be providing an effective delivery service for the continuous development of the RSPCA’s strategic and business critical applications and platforms such as Liferay. You’ll be engaging directly with the organisation and be involved at all stages of the development lifecycle. Job Responsibilities: Defining, monitoring and reporting on systems development projects supporting the organisation’s objectives and plans Providing technical expertise to enable configuration of software for systems testing and collaboration with technical teams to agree integration plans Planning and driving software construction activities Developing roadmaps communicating future development activity Supplier management involving reviewing supplier performance data and supporting on the resolution of supplier related incidents Understanding client requirements from collecting data to analysis and problem resolution, fulling identifying client needs Having technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development and programming Adopting and adapting appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques Performance management of direct reports, providing support and guidance and facilitating effective working relationships Undertaking regular code reviews to ensure efficiency, accuracy and adherence to best practice Job Requirements: Degree educated in Computing, Data Science or Mathematics or equivalent experience Previous experience working in a developer role and in a senior capacity Ability to take ownership of software solution delivery and improvements (e.g Salesforce, Liferay, Talend) Knowledge of Java and general websikills, using SOAP or REST web services/API’s Experience of designing and delivering systems and integrations Experience of translating business requirements into technical specifications and buildable solutions Experience of performing code reviews Formal qualifications in Agile or SDLC would be desirable Job Details: Company: RSPCA Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
