A day in the life of a Meat Wrapper: You will deal directly with customers and answer questions on everything from grilling to nutrition. Our highly skilled Meat Cutters are trained here to prepare the outstanding quality cuts that Safeway has built its reputation on. Job Responsibilities:

• Filling meat counter and showcases
• Use of commercial power equipment
• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Use of hand wrapper, and scale, pricing meats
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Receiving and rotating product
• Order writing
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs

Job Requirements:

• Possess strong Customer Service qualities
• Evening and weekend availability is strongly encouraged
• Works in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to learn quickly
• Highly motivated and team oriented
• Must be available to be scheduled anytime on Sunday (Alberta Only)
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form
• Available to work flexible hours
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
