Job Responsibilities:

• Interacts with functional senior and executive leaders
• Formulates and communicates solutions and options for highly complex problems
• Serves as a leader, advisor, or mentor on highly complex continuous improvement projects, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools
• Supports the ongoing development of the Southwest Airlines continuous improvement network and community
• Creates and communicates results from moderately complex data analysis and models
• Serves as a subject matter expert on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools

• Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
• Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
• Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
• Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time, as determined by project needs and direct leader
• Must be able to work extended hours, as determined by project needs and direct leader
• Must be proficient in the full range of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools, including statistical tools
• Must be proficient at advising and mentoring Lean Six Sigma practitioners on proper selection and execution of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools
• Must be proficient at driving highly complex continuous improvement projects from concept to completion, to reduce waste, defects, and process variation
• Must be proficient at developing and directing continuous improvement project teams
• Must be proficient at analyzing data for continuous improvement projects using Excel and statistical tools such as SigmaXL, Minitab, JMP, or Crystal Ball
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required

Qualification & Experience:

• Eight years of related professional experience such as business consulting with a Bachelor’s degree OR at least seven years of related
• professional experience such as business consulting with an Advanced degree required
• At least six years of Lean Six Sigma project experience required
• Lean Six Sigma project experience in service environment preferred
• Airline experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Advanced Degree preferred
