Job Description:

The DevOps Manager assists with implementation and improves the development, deployment and testing tools that increase the effectiveness of our engineering teams within our development and quality domains. This position will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative and rapidly changing delivery environment. It requires highly motivated and focused people curious to build new and innovative solutions for our Clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages large – medium sized teams and/or work efforts, day to day activities of the DevOps team (support, project work, etc) and interact with PMO to determine resource demand for engineers.
  • Manage environment configurations, DB refreshes, environment maps, monitoring for all lower environments and implement CI/CD to ensure continuous deployment lifecycle using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS, Octopus, SonarQube, SolarWinds, OpsGenie, jFrog and Chef.
  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business and IT problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and apply DevOps solutions to enable success.
  • Fully automate the abstract deployment across organization.
  • Driving DevOps capability assessments and providing industry subject matter expertise Defining DevOps capability transformation strategy and roadmaps.
  • Implement quality gates and best practices for development teams through tools such as sonarqube to enable rapid development pacing and code quality.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
  • Curiosity to learn and grow intellectual and technical knowledge
  • Experiencing working with VMware, Azure, AWS. Server OS Installing & Configuration.
  • 5-8 years in a DevOps role; 1-3 years’ in people management
  • Proven ability to effectively perform in Agile / Scrum and at advanced levels in Vendor facing Teams
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills complemented with sound interpersonal and team skills
  • Experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Chef, Sonar, Selenium
  • Consistent record of dependable performance at advanced levels with minimal supervision
  • Experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Python
  • Experiencing networking skills, good understanding of TCP and Firewalls.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Related Fields, Science or Engineering preferred
  • Experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration
