Job Description: Reporting to the Head, Constable Services, the Policy Consultant will lead the development and implementation of current and new policy and program initiatives for the Revenue Protection and Special Constable Services departments within the TTC. They will manage functions to support these initiatives, including the development of implementation strategies, the collection and synthesis of research, data and information and adoption and communication plans. Job Responsibilities: Works closely with subject matter experts to develop policy and to ensure that associated processes are efficient Analyzes data, metrics, and statistics, and makes recommendations related to policies and processes Develops, updates and implements policy and related processes; Acts as a key point of contact and business partner across the TTC to provide consultation, advice and support on policies and related processes Manages assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork and communication, high standards of work quality and organizational performance and continuous learning; Makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture Coordinates strategic policy development in collaboration with a range of stakeholders and provides advice and support in the application of policy development at the TTC Job Requirements: Develop/document policies and procedures Understand and apply relevant laws and regulations A University Degree, or College Diploma in a related discipline (i.e., Public Policy & Administration, Human Resources) or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent Must keep current on changes to legislation, government policy and/or case law relating to human resources issues and best practices; Exceptional conceptual ability and capacity to develop creative solutions to complex operating, policy and evaluating problems; Familiarity with government legislation in the areas of Human Resources, Human Rights as well as Occupational Health and Safety; An exceptional level of communication skills with a particular emphasis on writing ability; Experience working with a variety of stakeholders in the formulation of policy, process, analysis and/or research; Use office technology, software and applications Apply analytical skills Project management experience, managing complex assignments from inception through to implementation with minimal direction while balancing political, community and other stakeholder interests, and resolving conflicts; Sound interpersonal skills combined with good judgement; Manage projects Communicate in a variety of mediums Gather information and conduct research Job Details: Company: Toronto Transit Commission Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Greater Toronto Area, Canada Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
