Job Description:

The Integrations Manager is responsible for the active management of the integrations within the application portfolio through best practices and collaboration with the Product teams.  Primarily responsible for planning, executing, and managing the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise in alignment to that strategy for all Products and with alignment to TVA standards and processes.  This manager maintains accountability and is responsible for the engineering, design/configuration and performance monitoring and effectiveness of integrations. Leads delivery by driving standards, continuous improvements, and corrective actions in delivery of business partner products and value.  Directs a highly strategic department, guided by methodologies and frameworks that bring value to the business faster. Understands key technology trends within his/her strategic focus area comprised of several capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains relevant technical expertise and remains abreast of evolving technologies through interaction with vendors, peers and participation in benchmarking activities and professional conferences/seminars
  • Reports to leadership and Product teams on current capability performance (e.g., metrics), issues, and opportunities.
  • Must prepare and operate department within annual budget constraints, both expense and revenue; cost effectively manages the allocation and utilization of assigned assets, budgets and resources.  24x7x365 on call support.
  • Leads the team responsible for ensuring integrations meet business requirements and system goals and identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensures alignment with Product strategy, plans, execution, and performance expectations for all TVA Products and as part of the broader overall IT strategy, collaborating with other Product and Foundational teams
  • Ensures optimization of assigned resources through employee development, workforce balancing, utilization of staff augmentation contractors, leading cross-organizational teams, and management of multi-sourcing contracting arrangements.
  • Provides oversight to the integration team driving innovation, continuous improvement, streamlined methodologies, application portfolio management for capabilities including health & rationalization and ensures development and implementation of standards and reference architectures in strong collaboration across TVA organizations.
  • Provides leadership in human resource management. This includes coaching, developing, training, career planning, achieving staffing and hiring goals, managing workforce diversity. Ensures individual development programs for employees are adequate such that each staff member is properly equipped to perform his or her job function.
  • Oversees the health of integrations for each strategic focus area and informs Product teams on the performance, issues, and opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that new system integrations into business systems meet functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
  • Ensures application integrations are maintained with high levels of system availability driving reduction in time spend on repeat broke/fix through automation.
  • Responsible for collaborating with analysts, architects, and system owners in testing of integrations.

Job Requiremeny:

Extensive knowledge of technology, including tools and processes, resource management, and engineering.  Strong facilitation, negotiation, and intervention skills.  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  Ability to lead and influence teams in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while dealing diplomatically with internal and external partners.  Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and concerns. Ability to think strategically while managing tactical details.  Must have a unique blend of technical experience and knowledge, exceptional communication, leadership acumen, and problem-solving skills.  Candidate is be required to obtain and maintain a sensitive security clearance.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Five or more years of comprehensive experience with progressive assignment ins leadership, engineering, and budgeting. Demonstrated knowledge of transformation impact, change management, and business metrics.  Several years of demonstrated, significant technical experience in core enterprise infrastructure information technology areas.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or comparable field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience.
