Job Description:

The UBC Department of Psychiatry is inviting eligible candidates to apply for a full-time Research Associate Position in the Mental Health Systems and Services Laboratory. The applicant will have exceptional skills and research accomplishments in mental health, psychology and health systems, with a focus on psychology and youth. The applicant will work with an active research program, working closely with decision-makers, the community, and other stakeholders to answer key challenges referred to basic science, clinical practice, health systems, population mental health, and epidemiology. The goal is to improve delivery of mental health and substance use services to ultimately impact health outcomes of people from BC, Canada, and globally.

Job Requirements:

• Applicants will have a PhD and a minimum of 2 years postdoctoral training in mental health, substance use and/or psychology.
• The applicant will have a strong publication record and a proven track record in project leadership.
• Planning, designing, and conducting research projects related to mental health and substance use,
• Coordinating and conducting project management activities for research projects within the lab,
• Mentoring and supervising trainees and research technicians,
• Identify and establish new research projects and assist with preparing grant proposals, establishing administrative processes and conducting data analysis.
