Job Description:

We are currently seeking OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS with the knowledge and expertise in working independently with the ability to carry out Independent Medical Evaluations, including In Home Assessments, Functional Ability Evaluations, Hospital Discharge Planning for our Automobile Insurer’s Examinations (IE) clients and Work Site Services such as Physical and Cognitive Demand Analyses, Functional Ability Evaluations, Cognitive Functional Ability Evaluations, Return to Work and Disability Management, Job Coaching, Job Site Assessments for Employers and other insurers. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to adhere to report submission timelines of 5 business days.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide recommendations and link with community resources to facilitate devices/equipment needs
• Assessment of Attendant Care Needs, Form 1
• Address Non Earner Benefits and OCF 18 Treatment Plans
• In Home Assessments (Insurer’s examination and serious injuries)
• Hospital Discharge Assessment for MVA related injuries
• Functional Ability Evaluations
• Experience with catastrophic files preferred

Job Requirements:

• Excellent time management, organizational and report writing skills
• Certificate of Registration with respective College Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Acquired Brain Injury experience preferred
• Compliance with confidentiality requirements
• Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
• University Degree in respective profession as required by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Five (5) years related experience with work related injuries, MVA and or experience in third party health care system, with strong FAE and return to work planning skills, home assessment skills
