Job Description:

The Analyst, Person-Centred Perspective supports the Cancer Control Division in carrying out projects and initiatives to achieve organizational priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Person-Centred Perspective, the incumbent supports the delivery of program/project objectives. As a highly organized professional with strong time management skills, this position delivers on the tasks of the job while contributing to the Partnership’s overall vision to reduce the burden of cancer on all Canadians.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tracks current evidence, reports status and findings to internal and external stakeholders for core areas of responsibility and ensures information is embedded as appropriate in programs/initiative of the Person-Centred Perspective & Prevention portfolio
  • Collaborates with others, including internal and external stakeholders, to support the implementation of a Person-Centred Perspective in Canada initiative
  • cancer care across Canada
  • Contributes to shifting the standard of care to a person-centred perspective by raising awareness and improving the patient experience. The goal is to make it easier for people with cancer to understand and navigate the system
  • Contributes to the design, execution, and evaluation of initiatives that focus on a Person-Centred Perspective for
  • Develops an action plan and presents findings that measure the benefit of supporting a person-centred perspective and a more seamless patient experience
  • Areas of focus include improving the quality and availability of palliative and end-of-life care; seamless transition for patients and improved quality of life for those affected by cancer, as well as supporting initiatives with First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities
  • Supports the scalability of partner projects that deliver innovative models, such as paramedics across Canada providing palliative care

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 356 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Agile – is constantly adapting to partners, priorities and outcomes; is committed to continuous learning and improvement; promotes new ways of doing things
  • Collaborative – partners and builds strong relationships; works effectively with team members, focusing on delivering individual contributions to meet collective outcomes
  • University Graduate Degree in epidemiology, public health, or other relevant discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in the non-profit or healthcare sector. Education or experience with First Nations, Inuit and Métis and underserviced populations is an asset
  • Systems-thinking – connects the dots between their work and the broader system, has political acuity
  • Bilingual in both English and French is an asset
