Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible for accomplishing a variety of support services including procurement of administrative supplies and equipment, tracking budget expenses, personnel processing, printing and mail service, space management, records and correspondence management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional engineering input into the interdisciplinary planning process for natural resource development activities involving civil engineering projects.
  • Develop and modify civil engineering plans and specifications for new construction.
  • Prepare and review environmental analysis, impact statements, and special reports regarding new or improved engineering construction.
  • Prepare original designs and preliminary layouts, such as road design.
  • Use aerial photograph, topographic, and geological maps to ascertain road and trail management alternatives.
  • Make personal inspections to ensure safety standards, health and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Determine cost, practices, methods, techniques, material, and equipment for effectiveness in reaching the organization?s objectives.
  • Provide technical advice while serving as the contracting officer?s representative ensuring contract compliance on projects.
  • Coordinate with other resource area specialist to complete environmental documents and clearances.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to resolve problems that may be of unusual difficulty and complexity.
