Job Responsibilities:
- Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141) is preferred.
- Although previous experience in mining or an industrial setting is considered an asset, we also appreciate that diversity of thought comes from our differences – and that’s what makes us great!
- The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
- A valid Industrial trade certificate for the province of Ontario is preferred.
- We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance (PS) in a Schedulers role to join our Ontario Operations Department in Sudbury.
- The job holder will continuously improve the work team (crew) performance through effective use of established processes and procedures at various plants or mines within the Sudbury area. In this role, as a Supervisor, Maintenance (PS) you will be accountable for scheduling.
Job Requirements:
- Adhere to maintenance business processes in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools and standards.
- This includes shutdown (PMP) and ERM related schedules
- Escalate to appropriate authority in the event that scheduling tasks by the Required End Date results in a requirement for additional downtime and/or resources.
- Schedule approved work orders for execution prior to the Required End Date for the various disciplines including Operations and Contractor work centers.
- To schedule newly approved, urgent or emergency work
- To assist in setting an integrated schedule
- Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including supervisors, planners, superintendents, etc.
- Coordinate and facilitate all scheduling management routines.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful scheduling of work orders for completion by their Required End Date.
- Execute the “Schedule Work” element of the process for all types of work orders – systematic and non-systematic maintenance.
- Manage the daily backlog.
