Job Responsibilities:
- Develop new algorithms to discover patterns of risks, abuse and help reduce overall levels of safety incidents in our driver pool
- Identify trends, draw inferences and provide scalable solutions and recommendations for the DSP and Safety Operations Team
- Use predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to solve complex problems and drive business decisions
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business teams, engineering teams, and partner teams and align them with respect to your focus area
- Build ML models to understand behaviors leading the rare on road
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience using data querying languages (e.g. SQL, Hadoop/Hive)
- 2+ years of experience working as a data scientist or a similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication
- PhD in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience working in anomaly detection or sparse signal detection
- Track record of success in a fast-paced work environment with ambiguously defined problems
- High degree of SQL proficiency – skilled in extracting and managing data from multiple sources
- Statistical expertise with a high degree of proficiency in at least one statistical analysis/statistical computing platform (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
- Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, and the ability to accurately determine cause and effect relationships
- Master’s degree (or Bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
